concerned that they may lose the whole harvest. One morning
all their neighbors left their own fields and came to harvest this
family's wheat. God answered their prayers by sending workers into
the field and gathering the whole harvest in one day!
As DeeAnn Harmon watched The Harvest video, God touched her heart.
She saw the wheat field stretched all the way to the horizon with
thousands of individual wheat stalks. God showed her that
every stalk of wheat represented one Deaf person still without a
relationship with Jesus Christ.
"My heart was broken and burdened to realize millions of Deaf
people have not yet been taught about Jesus' love for them", DeeAnn
says. At that moment the ministry name was born: Deaf
Harvest Ministries - with a commitment to reach Deaf people
with the message of Jesus Christ through prayer and networking with all
Deaf missions serving Jesus Christ, The Almighty Son of God.
(Later the ministry name was changed to Deaf Harvest International,
because our focus includes ministry here at home and around the world.)
"Every time I see this video", DeeAnn says, "I am
reminded of the huge Deaf harvest that is before us, and I am burdened.
We must all realize we have a work to do in His harvest.
Everyone has a job to do. Let's work in His field together!"
