Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus!

Wow! I have missed talking to all of you. Although, we have been silent we have not been quiet. We have been quite busy relocating, putting together new programs, and tweaking old ones.

What have we been doing lately?

Communication

We realize many of our friends are still not receiving our information due to our web host. We are in the midst of changing our host. . We will still have the same email address, website address just a different host. Right now, we are communicating most of the time from a Yahoo address since this address reaches most people.

Relocating

We have moved our office to a larger premise. We Praise God for this move . The previous office did not give us room for expansion/

CIN – Christian Interpreter Network

We have continued to host monthly trainings for Interpreters . These sessions have been phenomenal as members of the Interpreters community and members of the deaf community explore the most effective way to interpret in various settings.

In April, everyone joined in –Interpreters, Deaf and Hearing Academicians, Deaf leaders and Spectators to discuss “Deaf Culture”. Opinions varied on this topic from all participants.

In May, we had a guest to visit us from America – Jeff Bowden, who is an Interpreter for the US State and very active in the Christian Interpreting community. We had an awesome time while we exchanged ideas, shared challenges, and discussed concerns for the deaf community in Nigeria. He challenged us to continued to work hard to gain what many think is only a dream for deaf Nigerians. It reminded us it is possible for d/Deaf Nigerians to experience the liberties that are present in America.

Thanks Jeff, for coming to visit us!

Visitors

Many people have requested to visit us on the mission field. Some have also desired to come and serve on this field. Well, the opportunity is now available.

In September 2006, we are opening the doors for short and long term missionaries. We are need of deaf and hearing persons.

How can you help? Bring your expertise with you and we will put it to work.

Why in September 2006? Because Gifted Hands is launching Blaze Institute, a tertiary institution which will train Deaf Educators and Sign Language Interpreters. As we say “all hands on deck as we launch this school. We desire to raise the standard in the field of education and interpreting in this nation. Come and join us!

Continue to pray for us as we continue to seek God’s direction. Pray with us that God will give us the strength and wisdom to do His work.

Impacting the Nations with the Gopsel of Jesus Christ!

Please stop all you are doing right now, and pray for the needs in these countries.   Pray for God to provide everything they need and pray for His guidance, wisdom and protection over these missionaries.   Pray that the people here will understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, and have an opportunity to say "Yes" to Him, and be saved.
