2/11/2011 - We want to say thanks to everyone who prayed for us today.  God knew Al was going to be sick when we first started planning
this meeting.  Bob used Dr. James Dobson's dvd in Spanish on how to discipline your children.  There were about 30 parents in attendance.
Liz, Salma & I had 14 students.  They were very attentive.  One of our Deaf couples came to help, Miguel & Marlyn.  We praise God
how He worked.  A young man from Brazil is here working with First Baptist church.   Paulo is a physical education teacher.  Liz introduced
him to the director.  The director said how wonderful.  We are going to have our annual olympic type games in May and we don't have a trainer.
So God in His all knowing wisdom opened the door wide.  Paulo is going to start training next week at the school.  Liz is going to teach him
Ecuador sign.  Praise the name of the LORD!

Al is a little better this evening.  He may need to go to the doctor tomorrow.  Please continue to pray for him.

We are heading down the mountain tomorrow morning to Pasaje.  We have a Valentine's fellowship at 5:00pm.  Carmen has invited
8 Deaf to come.  Pray that as we play games and teach God's Word that the Holy Spirit will speak through us and draw people
to Jesus.  Pray for our safety as we travel.  We have been having lots of rain which can cause land slides.  Pray that God will
show Himself strong.

Grace & Peace,
Peggy & Bob Mulkey

1/11/2011 - Dear Prayer Warriors,

The year 2011 will be our last year on the field. As of September 1 we will be going to the states for our final Stateside Assignment.  We will officially retire November 1, 2012.

You all have been a part of our work for many years.  We know that you will continue to hold the ropes for us through your faithful praying.

This year we will be working mainly in Cuenca and Pasaje.  Pray that God will show us who He has chosen to pour lives into.  Ask God to lead us to many Deaf and their families that need to know Jesus as their Savior.

Many Deaf struggle with alcoholism, sexual sin and abuse. Pray that God will show Himself strong and that He can set them free from these strongholds.

Pray for our safety as we travel and pray that we will remain healthy.

1Peter 4:7-11 Holman Christian Standard

Now the end of all things is near; therefore, be clear-headed and disciplined for prayer. Above all, keep your love for one another at full strength, since love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Based on the gift they have received, everyone should use it to serve others, as good managers of the varied grace of God. If anyone speaks, his speech should be like the oracles of God; if anyone serves, his service should be from the strength God provides, so that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen

We want to thank you for your willingness to join us in praying. We have 2 prayer requests:

1) Pray for Bob & Peggy Mulkey as they finish their final term on the field.  They will be going
on their final Stateside Assignment September 1, 2011.  When they finish that, they will retire. Ask God to use them to train and encourage/raise up Deaf Christians and leaders. Pray that they
will stay in good health so they can keep working and serving God until their term is finished.  Please pray for them as they make all the preparations for their final stateside.

2) We will have a Deaf volunteer team from NC coming here Feb 15-22nd.  They will be working in 3 cities. There has not been much evangelism among the Deaf in those 3 cities.  Pray that God will use that team to spread His Word and that the Deaf will believe and be convicted of what Jesus did for them.  Pray for the team's health and for all the plans the team has to be put together smoothly without any problems.

Please pray for the Deaf in Cuenca.  Pray that families and employees will let and help these Deaf attend the training in Quito February 21-23, 2009: Miguel & his wife, Pedro, Maria, Ines and Fabiola.  Pray that God will make a way for Deaf in Riobamba, Puerto Viejo, Manta and Machala attend the meeting.  Ask God to give the people He wants at the meeting the desire and means to attend.  Pray for safety as everyone travels to the meeting.

****************

Please stop all you are doing right now, and pray for the needs in these countries.   Pray for God to provide everything they need and pray for His guidance, wisdom and protection over these missionaries.   Pray that the people here will understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, and have an opportunity to say "Yes" to Him, and be saved.
