SALVADOR, BRAZIL (saw-vah-DOR). Please pray for
the Deaf Narrative Training that will take place this month; this
will be an important training for the Deaf and Deaf leaders in the
use of narratives. There are approximately 85,000 Deaf in the
greater Salvador area. There are a few churches with ministries to
the Deaf. There are no Deaf churches in the state. Many do not know
“Libras” (Brazilian Sign Language). Only about 5 percent are
able to read. Pray for a church-planting movement among the Deaf of

| Please stop all you are doing right now, and pray for the needs in this country. Pray for God to provide everything they need and pray for His guidance, wisdom and protection over these missionaries. Pray that the people here will understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, and have an opportunity to say "Yes" to Him, and be saved. |
